ST Health is an equal opportunity employer. Minority/Females/Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.

Why Join ST Health?

  • We don’t just take care of patients — we take care of our team, too. And we have the data to prove it.
  •  In addition to the benefits you’d expect from an industry leader, you’ll have access to:
  • AN AWARD-WINNING WORKPLACE: ST Health is ranked #1 for Best Places to Work for Women & Diverse Managers by Diversity MBA.
  • A premier benefits package designed to support your total well-being — physically, financially, and emotionally (Greater insurance coverage and less expensive premiums than most travel nursing agencies).
  • Tuition reimbursement and student loan assistance
  • Premium compensation (with an additional $1.60/hour off-shift differential). PLUS a travel allowance of $3,860 per assignment for hotel and meals if the assignment is greater than 60 miles from home. Additionally, drive time is paid for some assignments.

  • Ability to expand your professional network, working hand-in-hand with nationally recognized physicians and advanced practice providers, while you gain experience in multiple hospitals throughout the ST Health system
  • Opportunity to gain highly desirable skills and exposure to specialties, state-of-the-art equipment, and innovative electronic health records that build an impressive resume and career

Responsibilities:

  • Constructively receive feedback and direction. Identify and communicate learning needs to the appropriate manager. Serve as a resource for staff and other disciplines. Take action to improve knowledge, skills, and performance based on feedback or on self-identified developmental needs. • Assist in the transfer of patients to the operating room and on and off the surgical table, help position them on the operating table, and cover them with sterile surgical drapes.
  • Count sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments according to policy.
  • After surgery, it may help transfer patients to the recovery room. Clean and restock the operating room.
  • Ensure all medications are labeled and handed to the surgeon according to established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and to lead others in the application of surgical technology.
  • Assist in the preparation, care for, and disposal of specimens taken for laboratory analysis and help apply dressings.
  • Establish appropriate, assertive, and professional communication strategies. Strengthen interdisciplinary relationships with members of the health care team. Coordinate interdepartmental activities to expedite care.
