## Description

ST Health Health Plan has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Improvement Specialist, Provider Performance position in its Quality Improvement department, located in downtown Pittsburgh at the U.S. Steel Tower. This is a full time position working Monday through Friday daylight hours and is a hybrid position consisting of working from home and in office 3 days per week.

**Responsibilities:**

- Build valuable relationships with internal and external multidisciplinary teams utilizing clinical expertise, strong analytical skills, and incorporating clinical operations experience and quality improvement methodologies to achieve quality outcomes.

- Serve as a quality liaison to external stakeholders participating in value-based quality incentive programs.

- Provide clinical expertise in interpreting Value Based Program measures, performance trends, and improvement opportunities.

- Plan and facilitate routine meetings, learning collaboratives, and performance review discussions with hospital and specialty programs leadership and clinical teams.

- Foster collaborative relationships, promote transparency, trust, and shared accountability for performance.

- Assist with program documentation, deliverables, and compliance with program requirements deliverable due dates.

- Utilization of most up to date industry standards such as current clinical guidelines, state and federal quality requirements, and evolving value-based care models.

- Ability to lead a quality improvement multidisciplinary workgroup.

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required at time of hire/transfer.

- Master's degree preferred.

- Five years related experience required.

- Knowledge of information systems and process improvement techniques.

- Knowledge of effective in-person and virtual facilitation techniques.

- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in continuous improvement efforts.

- Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate with data.

- Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, other departments, and patients/families.

- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities required as related to supporting and driving continuous improvement efforts within the health plan.

- Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment and handle multiple/changing priorities.

- Ability to independently manage and work on multiple projects.

- Candidate must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Must be able to interact and engage with all facets of the healthcare industry.
