Are you currently enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy program and looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare setting? ST Health Wellsboro is seeking a motivated **Respiratory Care Assistant** to join our team and support our Respiratory Care Department.

**Schedule:**
Typical hours are between **8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.**, as scheduled.

**️****Key Responsibilities:**

- Assist with cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing respiratory equipment.

- Support inventory management, ordering, and distribution of respiratory supplies and medical gases.

- Help track and maintain respiratory care equipment.

- Provide oxygen for patient transport and replace compressed gas cylinders.

- Assist therapists during CPR and other routine/emergency procedures.

- Maintain proficiency in hospital computer systems and explain tasks to peers and students.

- Exhibit service excellence by responding to the needs of patients, families, and staff.

**Qualifications:**

- Must be **currently enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy program**.

- Strong interest in respiratory care and patient support.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

High school diploma or currently enrolled in respiratory therapist program.

Must be able to lift equipment and or supplies weighing up to 30 pounds and push/handle equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.

Access to medications is limited to the distribution of the medication to the Respiratory Therapist.

**Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**

- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal

- Act 33 with renewal

- Act 34 with renewal

- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
