###### What You’ll Do

- Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment

- Set up, operate, and ensure proper function of surgical instruments and equipment

- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, handling supplies, and maintaining counts

- Handle specimens, apply dressings, and assist with patient preparation and positioning

- Support post-operative room turnover, safety, and aseptic standards

- Completion of an **accredited Surgical Technology program** (college, vocational school, hospital, or military)

- **0–2 years of experience required**
**No experience necessary — new graduates welcome!**

- Additional experience may qualify for **Intermediate or Senior** Surgical Technologist roles

- Experience may include a variety of surgical specialties (General, Ortho, Neuro, OB/GYN, Vascular, etc.)

##### Certification & Education

- **CST or TSC certification** required per state law

- **New grads** may work **up to 6 months prior to certification** but must become certified within 6 months of program completion

- Some staff may be **grandfathered** and exempt from certification requirements

- **Continuing Education:**

- Certified staff must meet credentialing CE requirements

- Non-certified staff must complete **30 CE hours every 2 years**

##### Licensure & Clearances

- **CPR/BLS (AHA)** required within **30 days of hire**

- **Act 34 Criminal Clearance** (with renewal as required)
